February 12, 2008 - Virtual Servers an Business Continuity - President & CEO of Computer Resource Center  We discussed the challenges imposed by virtual infrastructures on traditional backup methods and the solutions to these challenges using the latest backup methodologies including an efficient and cost-effective solution in the form of online backups.

 

 

March 11, 2008 - Attendees were given this time to network and learn about other businesses in their area.  A roundtable discussion was held where each individual was given a chance to tell about his or her company and in turn ask about others in attendance.

 

 

April 8, 2008 - New Technology    Lawrence Catchpole started the discussion by telling us abou the new concussion and alzheimer detection technologies that Zenda Technologies is working on.  Connie Ruffner followed and told us all about the SBIR program at Georgia Tech and let us know that we may eligible for some of the many grant opportunities out there!

 

 

May 13, 2008 - Gaming & CGI    Britt Stephens and Clinton Lowe told us about the next big thing: GAMING.  It's not just your kids who like it - the largest demographic is 30 year olds!  We learned how it gaming effects the economy and all of our lives in North Futlon.

 

June 10, 2008 - The Next Level     Joe Gilbert, the Director of Technology and Commercial Development and Georgia State University spoke to us about the opportunities for business growth right in our backyard.  He talked about using the resources that local universities have to offer to take part in research and business start-ups.

 

August 12 - Military Technolgy Norm Geddes, CEO of Applied Systems Intelligence, Inc. spoke with us about emerging technologies the military is investing is.  One of the coolest, was the clothing that could monitor your health - we could be seeing our soldiers wearing these in the very near future.
