It's estimated that one in
five people living in the Georgia 400 Corridor works in
technology.
They work as engineers and
researchers, biologists and programmers, attorneys and
accountants, sales executives and administrators. Their
organizations are focused on improving every aspect of our
lives, from better medical care, to more available education,
to faster communications, to more efficient business
transactions. Their impact and distinction is often global.
And yet, connecting with each other can be next to impossible
— until now.

TAG and
GCLA are looking for Companies to present in the areas of Web
2.0 and Mobility, Cloud/XaaS, and Security/Compliance
ATLANTA (Sept 29,
2008) - TAG and GCLA will host a second Connecting
Georgia’s Companies event in November and are now requesting
information from companies interested in presenting to the
audience of CIOs and other tech leaders. Georgia-based vendors
who have innovative solutions to the "focus areas” selected by
GCLA's members are asked to complete the online request and
submit it no later than October 13th. Web 2.0 and
Mobility, Cloud/XaaS, and Security/Compliance were recently
selected as some of the biggest challenges for Georgia's CIOs.
Those companies whose RFIs are selected will have the
opportunity to present on November 11th and will
have their company’s information displayed at
tagonline.org.
TAG and GCLA
will accept up to four TAG-member companies from each category
to present their solutions to a prestigious group of Georgia
CIOs, CTOs and other leaders. Prior to the program, the
selected companies will be given support and counsel on their
presentations by the staff of Advanced Technology Development
Center (ATDC). At the event, presentations will be limited to
just five minutes and will be followed by five minutes of
Q&A. The event will also include a panel discussion,
networking reception, and sponsor exhibit booths. For
additional information on the event and/or how to submit an
RFI please visit http://www.tagonline.org/ConnectGA.php.
The deadline for submitting an RFI is 5 p.m. October 13.
Connecting
Georgia’s Companies is the result of a partnership between the
Georgia CIO Leadership Association (GCLA) and the Technology
Association of Georgia (TAG). For the participating CIOs it is
a unique opportunity to hear from TAG-Member vendor companies
based here in Georgia.
